When forming a circle, rather than asking the class to make a circle, simply start singing the song.
The children near you will join in and start making a circle. Eventually the whole class will be singing, and making a circle.
Repeat the song until the children are in a circle.
You could change the word ‘quickly’ to ‘quietly’, ‘nicely’, etc.
For a standing circle, change the last line to ‘standing up’ etc.
