Today we’re going on a journey to find the kind dragon, Zahara, at the top of a mountain!
Children start walking up the mountain along a grassy path. It’s a nice sunny day, feel the warmth on your back. Pick some flowers.
The grass turns to stones. Pick up some stones – what do they feel like?
The stones turn to sand. We take our shoes off. What does the sand feel like on our feet?
It starts raining: the sand turns to mud. What’s it like walking through mud?
It’s hard but we must keep going to find Zahara the dragon!
The water reaches our ankles, now our knees. What’s it like walking through water?
Finally it starts snowing. What’s it like walking through snow? Pick up some snow and throw a snowball.
We made it to the top! There’s a castle! Maybe Zahara is in there.
We enter the castle and find Zahara. Pet her. What do her scales feel like?
Ask Zahara if she will give you a lift all the way home.
Children become Zahara and fly all the way home. It’s very windy. What does that feel like?
