Sweet in the Mouth
Keep children quiet while walking round the school.
Technique
Tell the children to reach into their pocket, pull out a delicious imaginary sweet and unwrap it.
Tell them not to swallow it but to put it in their mouth. Mmmm!
They have to keep it in their mouth (with their mouth shut) until we arrive at the playground.
Children can blow up their cheeks if they like.
If you like, you can also add a finger on the lips.
When they arrive, they can swallow it.
Ask them if it was yummy, what flavor it was – or to tell their friend what flavor it was. This part might seem pointless but it keeps the ‘story’ real and interactive – and therefore more effective.
